Meldrum Amenities Improvement Group Success at Beautiful Scotland Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Meldrum Amenities Improvement Group on being awarded a Silver Gilt Medal and the New Entrant Discretionary Award at the Beautiful Scotland Awards; understands that the voluntary group was established 18 years ago to co-ordinate, facilitate, introduce and raise funds for additional amenities in the town of Oldmeldrum in order to enhance and enrich the environment of the town and the lives of the residents; recognises that the group creates and installs an extensive floral display in the town each summer, as well as displaying Christmas illuminations during the festive season; notes that the group organises regular litter picks where it invites other community groups to participate; commends the volunteers involved for their efforts, and wishes the group well.
