Uddingston Pride Gold Medal
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Uddingston Pride on winning a Gold Medal at the 2019 Beautiful Scotland Awards Ceremony in Dumfries on 12 September; notes that groups are judged on horticultural achievement, environmental responsibility and community participation; acknowledges that Uddingston Pride was founded in 2000 with the aim of improving the appearance of Uddingston by decorating its streets with attractive floral displays and by maintaining a tidy and litter-free environment, considers that Uddingston Pride gives the community a sense of belonging and pride in the town, and wishes it success for the future.
