NHS Fife Receives Gold Baby Friendly Accreditation
The motion
That the Parliament commends NHS Fife on becoming the first maternity service in Scotland to receive gold Baby Friendly accreditation from UNICEF; notes that the Baby Friendly service has been active in the UK since 1994 and provides encouragement and support to mothers through maternity services, neonatal units, children centres and universities; understands that this prestigious accolade recognises the gold standard level of knowledge and commitment of staff in promoting breastfeeding and bringing mothers and babies closer through the feeding experience; recognises the hard work, talent and high standards of the team at NHS Fife, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
