Palnackie Villagers Secure Future of Village Shop
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates villagers in Palnackie on securing over £180,000 of funding from the Scottish Land Fund for their village shop; understands that the facility will now be in community hands; welcomes that the money will also allow a community café to be created providing a space for isolated residents; notes that affordable housing, which is badly needed, will also be made available next to the shop; congratulates everyone in the community for securing this significant funding; believes that it showcases the strength of community involvement, and wishes the project all the best going forward.
