Belhaven Surf Centre

That the Parliament welcomes the opening of Belhaven Surf Centre in Dunbar, which it understands is Scotland’s first dedicated community surf centre; notes that the centre will accommodate the Coast to Coast surf school, the Wave Project, Dunbar Surf Life Saving Club and East Lothian Council’s Countryside Ranger Service, as well as having two rooms available for community groups to use, and congratulates the Dunbar resident, Brian Allen, who came up with the idea for the centre and has led the implementation of the project, East Lothian Council and all the other partners and funders on delivering such a fantastic new facility for surfers and the local community in Dunbar.
