Second Great Angus Beach Clean Success
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the removal of 1.5 tonnes of litter from the Tayside coastline at the weekend of 14-15 September 2019; understands that the second Great Angus Beach Clean, led in conjunction with Angus Clean Environments, cleared a large proportion of lightweight small plastic pieces, such as coffee cups, plastic lids, wet wipes and other mixed plastics as well as creels and ghost fishing gear; notes that the undertaking received funding from LEADER, the European rural development programme, and congratulates everyone for this environmental initiative.
