The Zone Initiative
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The Zone Initiative, which is based in Dalmellington, on being awarded a £63,054 National Lottery Community Fund Young Start grant that it will use over three years to support 24 young trainee ambassadors to deliver STEM activities to primary school pupils in the Doon Valley area, with the aims of increasing the employability of 16- to 18-year-olds and giving more than 250 primary school children living in deprived and isolated communities access to fun learning activities; commends it on its efforts to broaden the horizons of children in the area, and wishes it continued success.
