Barrhill Development Trust
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Barrhill Development Trust on its £135,000 award from the Scottish Land Fund; notes that will use this to purchase the village pub, The Trout Inn; retaining it as an important amenity that can be developed it for the benefit of the area's economy and community; believes that the Trust's plans include the delivery of catering and hospitality workshops and training opportunities for residents; welcomes the spirit shown in Barrhill and across Scotland in working to develop and retain community assets, particularly in more isolated rural areas; commends the members of the Trust for their efforts, and wishes them every success with this project and their other work.
