Dalgety Bay Businesswomen Receive Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Dalgety Bay businesswomen Lauren Anderson on being awarded New Business of The Year, and Laura Bennett, who runs Laura Bennett Permanent Cosmetics, on winning the Caring Business of the Year award at the Inaugural Fife Women Rock business awards on 12 September 2019; understands that Lauren launched her new business,Therapies@Room34, while on maternity leave and that she specialises in treatments ranging from massage to waxing to manicures all on the back of a decade in the industry; further understands that tattoo artist, Laura, was honoured for the inspiring work that she does free of charge with women who have experienced breast cancer; notes that, as part of their journey of recovery, Laura meets women who have undergone a mastectomy to provide tattoos to help transform how they feel about themselves post-surgery, and commends both businesswomen and all who received their awards on their inspiring entrepreneurship.
