The motion
That the Parliament congratulates 22-year-old Ryan Borland, from Inverclyde, on winning a grassroots award for helping disabled adults play football; understands that Ryan won the Best Young Volunteer award at the West Region Scottish FA Awards for giving up his own time since he was 14 to run the Greenock United team with his dad and others; notes that, in that time, Ryan has also helped hundreds of youngsters across Inverclyde get involved in physical activity through the Active Schools team; applauds Ryan for putting his hard work into practice as the health and wellbeing coach at Whinhill Primary School; acknowledges that local SFA development officer, Stuart Rafferty, nominated Ryan for the award in recognition of his efforts, and wishes Ryan and the Greenock United squad and coaching staff all the best for the future.
