Asda Foundation's Green Token Giving Programme Winners
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Tayside Cancer Support, which has been helping people who are in some way affected by cancer since 1994 through support groups and one-to-one services, on winning the Asda Dundee Milton Green Token Giving programme’s customer vote and award of £500; further congratulates the runners-up, Alternatives Dundee, which provides confidential listening support to people facing uncertain situations in their lives, such as an unintended pregnancy and abortion, the loss of a pregnancy or any other difficult circumstance, and Housing Charity Shelter, with each receiving £200; notes that the programme gives local customers the chance to vote for projects that matter most to them; thanks the Asda Foundation for its continued support of local communities, which has seen more than £370,000 invested in community projects and worthy causes in 2018, and hopes that many more local organisations will continue to benefit from the awards.
