Strathcarron Hospice Team on Fundraising Trek to the Top of Mount Kilimanjaro
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Team Strathcarron, which is on a fundraising trek to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro; understands that a group of volunteers from the Falkirk-based hospice, as well as several local people, are climbing the African mountain to raise money for the provision of services at the hospice; welcomes the news that Strathcarron Hospice has received £285,855 in funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, and understands that the money will be used to expand the group’s Compassionate Communities project.
