Colin McKenzie Benefits from the DNF Project SEARCH Programme
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Colin McKenzie, who is from Johnstone, on becoming the first graduate of the DFN Project SEARCH Renfrewshire programme; understands that DFN Project SEARCH is an international training programme that is aimed at helping young people with learning disabilities to secure a paid job; notes that the scheme has 60 partnerships across the UK, with over 1,000 young people being supported into work; recognises that it provided Colin with real-life work experience combined with training in employability and independent living skills; commends Colin on securing employment with Renfrewshire Council, and wishes him success in his new position.
