30th Anniversary of West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative on 30 years of providing and maintaining housing in the local area of Cambuslang at affordable rents; commends the focus of the housing co-op on promoting a sense of community and encouraging sustainability; notes the findings in a Scottish Housing Regulator's report, which scored the co-op as "above average" in 10 out of 13 categories; acknowledges that the report also found that the 98.9% of the homes let by the social landlord met the Scottish Housing Quality Standard, and wishes the co-op well in continuing this success into the next 30 years.
