Fife Council Project Receives £341,859 Funding Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Fife Council, which has received £341,859 from The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland; acknowledges that the funding will go towards a new "Safe, Secure and Supported at Home" project that is being run in partnership with Fife Women’s Aid and Police Scotland; notes that the project aims to support people who have experienced domestic abuse by giving advice on housing options that are available and providing safety equipment that will be fitted free of charge; further notes that the group also runs a befriending programme to help survivors regain their confidence and build new friendships; understands that over three years this new project aims to work with 90 people and 70 volunteers, and wishes all involved the best of luck.
