NHS Fife Welcome Wards
The motion
That the Parliament notes NHS Fife's introduction of Welcome Wards; highlights that these changes in flexibility will greatly improve the ability of friends and family to visit loved ones in the hospital; recognises the importance of Welcome Wards in accounting for the practicalities that restrict visiting opportunities such as public transportation, work hours and childcare; praises these efforts in improving patient experience and morale, and commends NHS Fife for what it considers this patient-centred and innovative decision.
