Condemnation of the Prime Minister's Language

Lodged by Rona Mackay Standard Motion 22 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament condemns what it considers the shameful performance by the Prime Minister in the House of Commons on 25 September 2019; notes that female Members called on him to moderate his language in light of threats, including death threats, that they received; regrets that he rejected their calls and, it considers, disgracefully misused the name of Jo Cox, the Labour MP who was murdered in 2016, and considers that everyone has a responsibility, not least the Prime Minister, to speak and act with respect.
