Congratulating Shona Thain on her Fostering Excellence Award Certificate
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Shona Thain, who is from Orkney, on being presented with a Fostering Excellence Award Certificate for Outstanding Contribution by a Social Worker to Fostering at the Fostering Excellence Awards 2019; understands that the awards recognise the incredible and committed work of people in the fostering community and are the most prestigious foster care awards in the UK; acknowledges that Shona has been a qualified social worker for 25 years, where she has provided invaluable support and training to foster carers in Orkney; thanks Shona for her hard work, exceptional level of care and dedication over the years to ensure that fostering and adoptive families in Orkney receive such an outstanding level of advice and support, and wishes her well in the future.
