LANDED Peer Education Service Receives Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates LANDED Peer Education Service on receiving £120,476 from the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland; notes that the Motherwell-based volunteering programme will recruit and train young people for volunteering as peer educators; understands that the service will focus on young people who may be at risk of developing problematic lifestyles, using the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) test as a tool to identify those who will benefit; commends the aims of the LANDED initiative and the impact that it will have on young people in Lanarkshire, and wishes the service’s organisers, volunteers and beneficiaries the very best for the future.
