The Gailes Hotel, Irvine, Brings Sunshine to Whiteleys Retreat
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The Gailes hotel in Irvine on holding an inaugural SimpsInns Sunshine Ball, which raised a staggering £23,829 in support of Whiteleys Retreat in Ayr; notes that the ball was organised by Karen and Malcolm Simpson and their team at SimpsInns, alongside Santander and Barclays banks; understands that the ball included an auction with standout items such as a weekend to Barcelona and a diamond necklace; recognises that Whiteleys Retreat offers therapeutic short breaks for children, young people and their families who are affected by cancer and life-altering illnesses; commends all involved, and wishes them all the best in the future.
