Fire Damage at Wishaw Juniors Football Club
The motion
That the Parliament notes with sadness the damage to Wishaw Juniors Football Club’s facilities caused by a recent fire; understands that the fire, which is being treated as wilful fire-raising by Police Scotland, saw the club’s newly-renovated changing rooms and hospitality amenities destroyed; appreciates the efforts of all those raising funds to repair the building, including the Scottish internationals, Robert Snodgrass and Leanne Crichton; acknowledges that Italian giants AS Roma named the Wishaw junior outfit its “team of the day” before sharing details of the side’s fundraising page on its website, and wishes everyone involved with the club well in their efforts to rebuild.
