The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Eastgate Theatre in Peebles on being selected as a new regional hub for the Dance for Parkinson’s programme; understands that the programme, which is spearheaded by Scottish Ballet and delivered in partnership with Dance Base, provides weekly dance workshops for people with Parkinson’s as well as for their families and carers; notes that the classes feature tasks to support problem solving, improvisation, vocal skills, repetition from memory and multi-tasking, and feature live musical accompaniment; commends the staff of the Theatre on supporting the scheme, and wishes them and the participants all the best.
