Kirriemuir Relay for Life Raises Over £70,000
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the biennial Relay for Life events in Kirriemuir raised £71,727 from 2019's 24-hour event; understands that, since the first relay in 2007, over £750,000 has been raised for Cancer Research UK; acknowledges that the Kirriemuir relays will help fund vital work, with Cancer Research UK spending nearly £42 million on scientific and clinical research in Scotland last year, and thanks all those involved in the organisation of the events, as well as those who donated money.
