Works+ Digital Lab
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Galashiels-based youth employment charity, Works+, on the opening of its new computer lab; understands that the Wooden Spoon Digital Lab was named after the charity, Wooden Spoon, which donated the equipment and that it was opened by the Gala RFC and Scotland rugby legend, Peter Brown; notes that it will be used to support clients, engage in digital communication and produce professional films and audio recordings; acknowledges that it aims to help young people enter into employment and that those currently attending the programme will use it to edit a film produced in collaboration with the National Galleries of Scotland; commends Works+ for its commitment to supporting young people, and wishes it all the best.
