Hayley Budge, Bravery Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Hayley Budge, who is from Orkney, on being presented with a bravery award at the Brave@Heart annual reception at Edinburgh Castle; notes that 47 emergency service workers and nine members of the public from across Scotland were presented with awards in recognition of their extraordinary and selfless acts of heroism in their communities, including three winners of the St Andrew’s Award for exceptional acts of bravery; acknowledges that Hayley works as a paramedic and was recognised for co-ordinating the rescue of, and providing CPR to, a person who was trapped on rocks below a cliff in terrible weather; commends Hayley and her fellow winners on their inspiring acts of courage and well-deserved success, and wishes them all the very best with their endeavours.
