North East Men Raise £5,000 for Cancer Charities
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Paul Beaumont and Scott Cummings, who are from the north east, on raising £5,000 for cancer charities by cycling the near 1,000-mile journey from Land's End to John o’ Groats in two weeks, covering on average 70 miles per day; understands that Paul raised money for Macmillan and that Scott rode for Clan; acknowledges that Paul and Scott's efforts were sponsored by local companies and generous individuals; commends them on their efforts, and wishes them, and Clan and Macmillan, well.
