Margaret Campbell, Fundraising for the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Margaret Campbell on the success of her latest fundraising event for the St Margaret of Scotland Hospice in Clydebank, which raised £3,512.10; understands that Margaret has been involved in fundraising for the hospice since she was a young child in the town, when she and her school friends collected bags of paper foil for the charity; notes that she intensified her fundraising efforts following the exemplary care that her brother received at the hospice; believes that, since the facility opened in 1950, it has touched the lives of thousands of people with advanced life-limiting illnesses and older people with complex medical and nursing needs, and has also supported their families and friends; acknowledges that, over the years, Margaret has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the hospice, and thanks her for her impressive effort and commitment to helping others in the community.
