900 Cyclists Take Part in the Poppyscotland Sportive
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the 900 cyclists who recently took part in the Poppyscotland Sportive, which saw them cycle through Musselburgh; understands that the mammoth fundraiser gave participants a choice of three routes around the country, which were either 47, 68 or 102 miles long, with some going as far as the Scottish Borders; is aware that, over the last seven years, more than £300,000 has been raised by Poppyscotland and that this money goes towards life-changing support for Scotland’s armed forces community; wishes the charity all the best in its fundraising, and hopes that the cyclists enjoyed the experience.
