The Queen's Award to Grandparents Parenting Again
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the charity, Grandparents Parenting Again and Kinship Carers (Midlothian), on receiving The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service; understands that the group, established informally in 2005 and now a registered charity, is run by kinship carers to provide support, information and representation to other kinship carers; believes that such support is of great value to the many kinship carers in Midlothian and beyond who play a vital and often unsung role in supporting young people; considers that this award serves as fitting recognition of all the hard work the volunteers have put in to making this charity a success, and wishes all involved the very best for the future.
