Irvine Dads' Ironman Challenge
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Graeme Wylie and Steven Bryce for taking part in the Barcelona Ironman contest on 6 October 2018 in memory of two-year-old Emily Nelson who sadly died in 2013 from an undetected tumour in her liver; notes that both completed the course and raised £2,000 for Calum's Cabin; understands that the motivation came from the charity helping Emily’s family; believes that the contest started with a 2.4-mile swim followed by a 112-mile bike ride and finished with a marathon from Calella to Calella-Santa Susanna; commends both Graeme and Steven for their outstanding achievement, and wishes them all the best for the future.
