Irvine Marathon Man Raises Funds for MS
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Irvine’s Kieran Donnelly on travelling to Koli National Park, Finland, to run in the 42.5km Marathon of Dangers; notes that Kieran ran the marathon to raise funds for MS Society Scotland; further notes that this is a particularly challenging event as participants run around lakes, over rocks and through forests and rivers; understands that Kieran was diagnosed with relapsing multiple sclerosis in 2017 and is determined to complete one event a year; recognises that 11,000 people in Scotland live with MS, which damages nerves in the body; congratulates Kieran on his astounding achievement, and wishes his every success with future events.
