Barnton Park Padel Court

That the Parliament welcomes the opening of Barnton Park Tennis Club's new padel court on 22 September 2019 in partnership with Game4Padel, which provides expert padel support and finance; understands that the open day included an exhibition of padel tennis, children's coaching clinics and an official ribbon cutting; understands that padel, which is the fastest growing sport in the world, is a cross between tennis and squash, which uses the tennis scoring system but is played on a court with enclosed class walls; congratulates everyone involved in launching the club, which is the first to offer padel tennis in the Edinburgh Western constituency, and hopes that other current projects are successful in enabling padel to continue growing as a sport across the UK.
