Sport Aberdeen to Benefit from Scottish Association for Mental Health Partnership
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the partnership between Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) and sportscotland; understands that active school coordinators at Sport Aberdeen will be taught practical ways of monitoring and managing mental health through their work in schools; further understands that this additional training will help coordinators create opportunities for young people to participate in sport and physical activity; considers that the link between participation in physical activity and good mental health is well documented, and looks forward to seeing the partnership further support young people to improve their overall wellbeing across Aberdeen.
