Scourie Hotel
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scourie Hotel in Sutherland on winning the Tourism Award at the Scottish Land and Estates’ Helping It Happen Awards; understands that Scourie Hotel has been welcoming guests for over 170 years and underwent a transformational refurbishment in 2015; acknowledges the hotel’s engagement with local conservation groups to ensure that there is the right balance between fishing and a strong ecology in the local area; welcomes that the hotel’s average occupancy rate has increased by over 30%, and wishes the business continued success in the future.
