The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Colin McKenzie, who is from Inverclyde, on being named Volunteer of the Year by Scotland’s walking charity, Paths for All, at its annual ceremony, which took place in the Garden Lobby; understands that Colin was recognised for his work in designing and building an accessible path at the three-acre site at Parklea Branching Out in Port Glasgow; notes that he was supported by Scottish Natural Heritage, which offered a five-day practical learning experience that empowered him with the skills that he needed to develop the thoroughfare; believes that Colin is a great example of how everyone can work to improve their community; thanks him for his sterling efforts, and hopes that Colin inspires others in Inverclyde and beyond to get involved in projects that benefit their area.
