Sporting Success for Greenock and Inverclyde Schools
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the schools in the Greenock and Inverclyde constituency that were recognised at the 2019 sportscotland School Sport Awards; applauds Newark, St. Michael’s RC, All Saints, Moorfoot, St. John’s RC, St. Patrick’s and Gourock primaries on attaining Gold status and King’s Oak, St. Andrew’s, St. Francis and St. Mary’s RC primaries, and Notre Dame High School, on being recognised with Silver, and commends the efforts made by sportscotland to improve PE and encourage schools to increase pupils' opportunities and engagement in sport to help promote health and fitness among young people.
