700th Anniversary of the Stocket Charter
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges that Aberdeen is preparing to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the Stocket Charter, which was signed by Robert the Bruce; notes that, ahead of this, a historic stone that was buried in connection with the Bruce has been discovered; understands that it is the 49th of 67 rocks that were installed to mark the Freedom Lands of Aberdeen, which were granted to the people by The King between 1790 and 1810; welcomes this news, and hopes that all involved with the anniversary celebrations enjoy a successful event.
