Dundee University Researchers Develop Screening Technique
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates University of Dundee researchers on their discovery of a screening test to prevent deaths from abdominal aortic aneurysm; understands that the illness affects men over the age of 65 and that approximately 80% of people with the condition will die from it; believes that this new method will help reallocate medical resources and that it is shown to be more effective in predicting outcomes; welcomes the development of this test, and looks forward to its future implementation.
