Dundee University Professor Receives Grant for Research

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes scientific development into bowel cancer conducted by the University of Dundee Professor, Robert Steele; understands that Professor Steele was awarded £110,000 by Bowel Cancer UK to improve testing for the disease, as part of a £1.3 million drive to invest in bowel cancer research, which is the second highest cause of death by cancer in Scotland; notes that the study will try to find ways to make the faecal immunochemical test (FIT) more effective, and looks forward to his findings.
