Livingston Student Excels in Music Industry
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Jack Mackenzie from Livingston following his graduation from Edinburgh College with a BMus (Hons) in Music; understands that the former West Calder High School student has also been shortlisted for Student of the Year at the annual College Development Network Awards, which take place in November 2019; acknowledges that the nomination for this award was made after Jack decided to dedicate himself to transforming the fortunes of Edinburgh College’s orchestra, which faced being dissolved, and inspiring students across the curriculum in the process, leading it to successful performances across the country, and wishes Jack every success in his future career.
