Armed Forces Memorial Bench
The motion
That the Parliament commends the women’s branch of the Galashiels Royal British Legion and the local Royal British Legion Scotland Riders (RBLSR) biker group on raising money for a new First World War memorial bench in Galashiels; understands that the bench is dedicated to all the armed services personnel, medical staff and animals that were killed during that war, and that a similar bench was created in 2018 for Galashiels men who were killed; notes that the bench was funded through raffles, a coffee morning and a sponsored walk; thanks both the Galashiels Royal British Legion and the RBLSR branch for raising the money for the bench, and wishes them all the best for the future.
