Milngavie Community First Responders 10th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Milngavie Community First Responders on celebrating their 10th anniversary; recognises that, since the ambulance service launched its Community First Response initiative 15 years ago, 160 schemes have been set up in Scotland; notes that the Milngavie group of volunteers provide vital support to Scottish Ambulance Service crews on a range of call-outs, including cardiac arrests, and have been called out to 550 incidents, in over 9,000 voluntary hours, over the last decade; considers that the service is an invaluable link in the chain of survival, and congratulates the founding member, Andy Boyd, on being awarded his 10-year service badge.
