The Gordon Murdoch Quaich Award
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Faifley Art Group on the launch of an annual award, which has been named after its founding member, Gordon Murdoch; understands that, when Gordon passed away in 2017, his family presented a quaich to the group; acknowledges that this will be presented as the Gordon Murdoch Quaich Award to the group member whose painting receives most public votes at its annual exhibition, retaining it for the year; recognises the generosity of the Murdoch family with this gift, and wishes 2019's winner, and all subsequent winners, well in their artistic endeavours.
