City of Glasgow College Student at Glasgow Mod
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the City of Glasgow College student, Tommy Hammond, on completing a placement with the BBC at the Royal National Mod 2019 as part of his BA in Film and Television; appreciates the practical experience and practical skills that the placement will have given him and others on the programme; commends the collaboration between the organisers of the Mod, the City of Glasgow College, the BBC and Napier University, which allows students to take part in this rewarding series of placements; recognises in particular the leadership of Principal Paul Little and team at City of Glasgow College, and his commitment to the advancement of skills-based education in Scotland; anticipates that the organisations involved will continue to benefit students into the future as they deepen their working relationship through this and other programmes, and wishes Tommy all the best as he continues throughout his studies and into his career.
