Commonwealth Gold for Motherwell Judo Coach, John MacDonald
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates John MacDonald on his recent Gold at the Commonwealth Judo Championships; notes that John, who is a fifth dan and head coach at Motherwell’s Senshi Judo Club, won all his fights by ippon, beating competitors from England, India and Northern Ireland; understands that he started the club in his home town following a career in the armed forces; recognises the hard work and dedication of John and his fellow coaches, Derek Gibb and Graham Hockley, and wishes them and all members of the club well in their endeavours.
