Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale FC 50th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale FC on its 50th anniversary; understands that the club started as a financial institution's employee team competing in the Lothian Amateur League under the name Lloyds & Scottish and currently competes in the East of Scotland Football League after turning professional in 1995; congratulates the club on being accredited in 2018 as an official member of the Scottish Football Association; acknowledges the current chairman, Tom Allison, who founded the club in 1969, and the significant contributions that he has made to football locally; thanks all those, on and off the park, for the role they have played in establishing the club as a well-run entity playing football at a good level, and wishes the club another 50 years of football success at Saughton Enclosure.
