The New Chocolate Company Named Best Emerging Artisan Chocolatiers 2019
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates The New Chocolate Company on being named Best Emerging Artisan Chocolatiers 2019 at LUX Life magazine’s 2019 Food and Drink Awards; understands that the Port Glasgow-based company has gone from strength to strength since it was founded in 2017, with VisitScotland awarding it five stars as a visitor attraction, making it the only chocolatier in Scotland to hold his prestigious accolade; notes that The New Chocolate Company’s products are also stocked at the Scottish Parliament gift shop, and that this year it was commissioned by the Lawn Tennis Association to supply 4,500 rose discs for the Wimbledon tournament; considers that the Inverclyde chocolatier is not only providing delicious chocolates for customers, but offers a first-class visitor experience by hosting parties so that people can make their own chocolates too; believes that the business is a fantastic example of how high-quality produce, combined with unbridled entrepreneurship, can achieve big things in a short space of time, and wishes The New Chocolate Company well for the future.
