Donna Paterson-Harvie Receives First Ever West Lothian College Ambassador Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Donna Paterson-Harvie on being awarded the first ever West Lothian College Ambassador Award, which recognises a person who has made a huge difference to the college over the year; notes that Donna is the founder of the charity, Neil’s Hugs Foundation, which helps families in West Lothian affected by suicide and mental health problems; understands that Donna supports students on courses across the college to develop some of the human and employability skills that employers are looking for, and commends the work that Donna does with lecturers to support students with poor mental health, encouraging an openness about mental health and helping to reduce the stigma surrounding it.
