Top Tap Dancing Trophy for Helensburgh Teen
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Katie Ward, a Helensburgh’s Johnstone Academy of Dance pupil, on winning the Central Scotland Tap Championship title; recognises that Katie’s dedication towards dance has earned her top positions in a number of dance competition finals in the last year, including overall winner in the senior section at the Edinburgh International Festival in August 2019; understands that last year Katie was offered places at the prestigious Urdang Academy in London, one of the top dance academies in the UK, and at the Performers College outside London, and considers that this is further recognition of her dance ability, and wishes Katie all the best as she furthers her dancing career.
