Mark Clougherty Selected as Member of UK Invictus Games Team
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Clydebank-born veteran, Mark Clougherty, on his selection as a member of Team UK at the 2020 Invictus Games; understands that Mark will compete in multiple events for both indoor rowing and road cycling with a hand bike at the Games; recognises that Mark and all those who participate in the Invictus Games face many challenges in their everyday lives as a result of their service to their countries; further recognises that participation in the Games is not only an avenue of recovery but also a means of inspiring others to achieve new goals; wishes Mark the best of luck while he trains for and competes in the Games, and thanks him for his valiant service.
